Kafalama Terms of Use
Version 1.0 - Effective date: [to be set at launch]
DRAFT FOR LEGAL REVIEW. Items in square brackets must be confirmed before publishing.
These Terms are an agreement between you and [Full legal name] ("we", "us"), who operates the Kafalama app. By creating an account you accept these Terms. How we handle your personal data is explained separately in the Privacy Notice.
1. Who can use Kafalama
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You may have only one account, and the information you give must be accurate.
- You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for activity on your account.
2. The service
Kafalama helps people find, create and join real-life events and groups, and chat with other participants. The service is free. We may change, suspend or end features, and will tell you in advance where reasonably possible.
3. Your content
- You keep ownership of what you post: events, group details, profile information, questions and messages.
- You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and share that content inside Kafalama only as needed to run the service. This licence ends when your content is deleted, except for messages that stay in chats as described in the Privacy Notice.
- You are responsible for your content and confirm that you have the right to post it.
4. Rules
You must not:
- break the law or encourage others to break it
- harass, threaten, bully or discriminate against anyone
- post hateful, violent, sexually explicit or misleading content
- impersonate someone or misrepresent your connection to a person or organisation
- send spam, unsolicited advertising or scams
- create events that are unsafe, fake or illegal
- collect other users' data or use the service in an automated way without our permission
- try to disrupt, overload or gain unauthorised access to the service
5. Real-life events
- Kafalama does not organise, supervise or verify events, hosts or participants. Events are created by users.
- Hosts are responsible for describing their events accurately, following applicable laws and canceling in the app if plans change.
- Use your own judgement when meeting people. Meet in public places where possible and tell someone where you are going.
- You attend events at your own responsibility, subject to the limits in section 9.
6. Reporting and moderation
You can report content or users to info@kafalama.com. [In-app report and block to be added before launch.] We may remove content or suspend or close accounts that break these Terms or the law. Where possible, we will tell you why.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. What happens to your data is explained in the Privacy Notice. We may close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms.
8. Changes to these Terms
If we change these Terms, we will update the version and date above and show you the new version in the app before it applies to you. If you do not agree, you can delete your account.
9. Liability
The service is provided "as is". We do our best to keep it running and secure, but we cannot guarantee it will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the conduct of other users, for events organised by users, or for indirect losses. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey. Your mandatory consumer rights, including applying to consumer arbitration committees and consumer courts, are not affected. [Jurisdiction clause to be confirmed with lawyer.]
